Specialized Goalkeeper Training

We offer goalkeeper specific training designed for both beginning and experienced goalkeepers. Our goal is to promote proper technical goalkeeping skills, and to assist Force goalkeepers in building upon their current skills.

Force goalkeepers are encouraged to communicate what they’re learning with their team coaches. Our goal is to work together as a coaching staff to help build strong, technical skills in all of our Force goalkeepers, and this is best accomplished when our goalkeeper specific training is also reinforced within the team training environment.

Anatomy of a Training Session

Training sessions typically consist of: warm-up, agility, technical training topic, small activity with progression to a larger scaled activity, and then adding tactical situations. Training topics are determined by the goalkeeper trainers based upon previous observations of the specific areas of improvement needed within the players.

  • Beginning/Intermediate Goalkeeper Sessions are focused on building consistency with good technique in all aspects, while also working on speed and agility.

  • Advanced Goalkeeper Sessions focus on building quickness, strong hands, power in dives, confidence, and communication.
