Force '08 Girls—2018 Snohomish Bigfoot Tournament Girls U11 Gold Division Champions
The Force '08 Girls ran the table at the 2018 Snohomish Bigfoot Tournament held August 16th to 20th at Stocker Fields in Snohomish, WA. The Force Girls went 4-0 in the Girls U11 Gold Division of the tournament, scoring a total of 9 goals and giving up only 3 against en route to winning the championship.All of this was despite playing without their primary goalkeeper for the entire tournament.
“The girls were very determined in this one, using past experiences and quality efforts in training to drive their success. I’m happy with their progress, but as a team we’re not satisfied yet. Instead, we are looking to work even harder as we move into league play next month.”
In the group stage, the Force '08 Girls defeated Northshore Select G08 Revolution (3-2), FME Fusion G08 (1-0), and Snohomish United G08 Black A (4-0) in order to advance to the final match, where they faced Snohomish United in a rematch beating them a second time 1-0 for the championship.
